Hotel Del Coronado (Coronado Island)

My husband and I love going to Coronado Island when we visit San Diego. The Hotel Del Coronado (referred to by locals as simply the Hotel Del), is just beautiful! The Hotel Del has a rich history. Marilyn Monroe and others have strolled its grounds and stayed in it's rooms. The beach is wonderful and the pool relaxing. The shopping is quite memorable in some of the charming shops lining the streets on Coronado Island. This is our all time favorite place to go! We also highly recommend the San Diego Zoo.
